Modi government does not want to investigate the deaths due to lack of oxygen: Manish Sisodia
- Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has claimed that Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has rejected the need to constitute a panel to probe oxygen deficiency-related deaths in Delhi.
- Sisodia said that the Center is running away from the investigation as if the deaths are probed then the public will come to know about their negligence and fraud.
- Sisodia had written to Mandaviya saying that an inquiry committee is needed to correctly present the number of deaths due to lack of oxygen.
- The Union Health Minister said that the National Task Force has 12 relevant conditions, out of which five are related to oxygen and hence there is no need for the Delhi government to constitute an inquiry committee.
- The second reason given by Mandaviya is that the Supreme Court has directed the creation of a sub-group for Delhi under the task force.
