Judges do not live in the wilderness, they are aware of the bad condition of the people in Covid - HC on govt's logic

  • The judges are well aware of the situation in Delhi during the second wave of the pandemic.
  • The Delhi High Court on Wednesday said these things while disagreeing with one of the arguments of the government.
  • The court said that when people were dying, the state's resources could not be utilized because of a special reservation for government officials and their families with corona treatment facilities.
  • A bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi said that there was such a shortage of facilities including oxygen, medicines, hospital beds, doctors and staff that there was no question of any facility being unutilized.
  • The Bench said, "Without giving so much assurance to the wheeled officers of the administration in the Delhi region that they would get the treatment, otherwise they would not be able to discharge their duties without any fear."
