Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman hit back at former Congress President Rahul Gandhi for criticizing the National Monetization Pipeline (NMP) plan.
Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the National Monetization Pipeline plan on Monday, on which Rahul Gandhi had raised questions.
The Congress leader had said the move was aimed at helping "2-3 private players".
In response to the question asked about this reaction of Rahul, Nirmala said, "Does Rahul Gandhi know about monetization? It was Congress that sold the country's resources and received bribes in it."
She added, "Congress govt monetised Mumbai-Pune Expressway to raise Rs 8,000 crore, request proposal was invited for New Delhi railway station in 2008."
