Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections- Current president Manjinder Sirsa lost, Harvinder Singh Sarna won

  • Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee elections were held in which a big upheaval came to the fore.
  • The current president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Sardar Manjinder Singh has lost the Sirsa election. He lost by 525 votes.
  • From Punjabi Bagh ward, Sardar Harvinder Singh Sarna defeated Manjinder Sirsa in a tough contest. Although Manjinder Singh Sirsa's party Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) is on its way to win the elections.
  • Let us tell you, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), the largest organization of Sikhs in Delhi, voted on Sunday for the elections to be held every four years.
  • In these elections, there were 3,42,065 voters for a total of 46 wards in which 37.27 % voters have exercised their votes as compared to 45.61 % in the last elections.
