Maharashtra: Why was Narayan Rane not arrested? Nashik Police Commissioner explains
- Union Minister Narayan Rane was arrested from Raigad on Tuesday afternoon. He was later granted bail by the Raigad district court on a personal bond of Rs 15,000.
- Narayan Rane is accused of making objectionable remarks (slapping CM Uddhav) on Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
- In the case of Rane, Maharashtra Police Commissioner Deepak Pandey has said that Rane had given a written assurance that he would not make such a statement again.
- He told that the minister had said in his written explanation that he would not do any such act again.
- The police commissioner said, "Our team had reached Ratnagiri yesterday but Narayan Rane had given a written assurance, so he was not arrested.
