
RSS-affiliated farmers union's ultimatum to Modi govt- 'accept their demands or else...'
- The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, associated with the RSS, has given an ultimatum to the Narendra Modi govt at the Center on the issue of farmers.
- Union National Treasurer Yugal Kishore Mishra has given time till August 31 to the government and said that if they are not listened to, a nationwide agitation will be organized on September 8.
- Mishra said that since independence, the central government has not been serious about the interests of farmers.
- He said, "Nobody listened to the farmers. The demands include amendments to the new agricultural laws."
- "It also includes giving bank guarantees to those who purchase from farmers outside, inside the mandi and the cost of production of the farmers should be fixed", he added.
