Caste-based census: UP MLA targets Nitish Kumar, said - 'for the sake of political gains.....'
- BJP MLA Surendra Singh from Bairia seat of Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh targeted Bihar CM Nitish Kumar over caste census in the country.
- Singh said during a conversation with reporters, "I request Nitish Kumar and others, who talk about social justice, that if they really want to get justice for their poor backward class brothers, they should first of all."
- He added, "Self and other affluent people should announce to t of reservation quota. Not fair to the country."
- Significantly, a delegation of leaders of 10 parties of the state, led by Nitish Kumar, met PM Narendra Modi on Monday.
- All these parties spoke in one voice on the need for a caste-based census and insisted that the various caste data would help in making effective development plans.
