AAP alleges corruption in Kumbh Mela, surrounds Yogi government on CAG report
- Based on the report of the CAG, the AAP has accused the Yogi Adityanath govt of UP of rampant corruption in the Kumbh Mela held in Prayagraj in the year 2019.
- Party's Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh alleged, "The CAG report states that the Rs 2,700 crore allocated for the Kumbh Mela has been heavily irregularised."
- He claimed, "It has been found in the audit that the 32 tractors purchased for the Kumbh Mela are on the number of cars, mopeds and scooters."
- Singh said, "This is a small example, but you can guess from this how much corruption has happened in the name of Kumbh Mela."
- Singh alleged, "Be it the temple of Lord Shri Ram, whether it is the Kumbh of Prayagraj, the Bharatiya Janata Party is not leaving any chance of corruption."
