'What was built in 20 years, everything is finished', Afghan MP who came to India wept bitterly

  • Two Afghan senators are also included in the group of 168 people who came to India from Kabul this morning to escape the Taliban.
  • One of them, Senator Narendra Singh Khalsa, had tears in his eyes. He has thanked the Government of India for being brought to India.
  • He expressed happiness that he reached here safely. He told that it was very difficult to reach the airport in Kabul.
  • Khalsa said, "There were 250 Afghani Sikhs left. The condition there is very bad, people are in panic, not trusting anyone. There is no government there. They are scared."
  • He said, "I feel like crying...Everything that was built in the last 20 years is now finished. It's zero now."
