
Sonia Gandhi's virtual meeting with leaders of 15 parties, focus on opposition alliances before assembly elections
- Congress President Sonia Gandhi will hold a virtual meeting with leaders of major opposition parties at 4.30 pm today.
- According to sources, leaders of about 15 opposition parties are expected to participate in this meeting.
- Prominent opposition leaders include NCP President Sharad Pawar, Trinamool President and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Shiv Sena Chief and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray.
- Others include DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
- In the meeting, issues related to strengthening the unity of the opposition and formulating a common strategy on important issues will be discussed.
