
'Our focus is on ensuring security in Afghanistan and safe return of Indians': Jaishankar
- With the Taliban taking control of Kabul, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said on Wednesday that India is monitoring the changing developments in Afghanistan "very carefully".
- He also said that New Delhi's focus is on the safe return of Indian citizens from the war-torn nation.
- Jaishankar said, "It is at the centre of my talks here, the UN Secretary-General and other colleagues as well as the US Secretary of State."
- Jaishankar told this to the reporters after chairing an open discussion on peacekeeping at the UN Security Council.
- He added, "Our focus is on ensuring security in Afghanistan and the safe return of Indians present there."
