'Will the fight for freedom now have to be fought against Twitter?' - Congress asks after account lock
- Congress has claimed that Twitter has blocked its official Twitter account more than 5000 accounts of party leaders.
- Twitter has also blocked the accounts of Balasaheb Thorat and former Mumbai Congress President and former MP Sanjay Nirupam.
- After the account was blocked by Twitter, Nirupam has written a long post on Facebook. Many leaders have opened a front on Facebook.
- Nirupam has raised the question in his post that will a fight for freedom now have to be fought against Twitter? That too, when the country's Independence Day is near.
- Nirupam wrote, "Modi govt wants to run the country by shutting down the tongue of the opposition, but we will fight against this undemocratic behavior and we will win too."
