Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi.
He has demanded a caste-based census and said that the Center should take its own decision on this issue. The stand should be reconsidered.
Tejashwi has alleged that PM Modi has insulted CM Nitish Kumar by not meeting the caste census, while the PM is meeting the Cms of different states.
In a letter to the PM, he wrote, "Until the caste census is not done, the educational, social, political and economic condition of the backward, most backward castes will not be assessed."
"Neither should there be proper policy formulation related to their betterment and upliftment nor will the budget allocation be done in proportion to their numbers", said Tejashwi.
