'Murder of democracy': Rahul Gandhi on abrupt end of monsoon session of Parliament

  • Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders marched outside the Parliament complex today morning against the abrupt end of the monsoon session of Parliament.
  • He alleged an attack on some women MPs in the Upper House. Gandhi said, "Today we have come to talk with media because we were not given a chance to speak inside Parliament."
  • "This is the 'murder' of democracy. The Parliament session is over but as far as 60 per cent of the country is concerned... no Parliament session has taken place."
  • Rahul said, "The voice of 60 percent of the country has been trampled on, humiliated and physically beaten up in the Rajya Sabha yesterday."
