
Congress accuses of suspending Twitter accounts of five leaders including Surjewala
- Amid the temporary suspension of Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account, Congress claimed that similar action has been taken against the accounts of five senior leaders, including Randeep Surjewala.
- The Twitter accounts of AICC general secretary and former Union minister Ajay Maken, party whip in Lok Sabha Manickam Tagore has been blocked.
- Apart from this, Assam in charge and former Union minister Jitendra Singh and Mahila Congress President Sushmita Dev have been suspended.
- Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi had last week tweeted pictures of the family of a nine-year-old girl who was allegedly raped and murdered in Delhi.
- The NCPCR took cognizance of Rahul Gandhi's tweet and directed Twitter to take action against the Congress leader's account for violating the privacy of the minor victim.
