
No death due to lack of oxygen, only 1 suspect died from 1 state - Govt claims again
- The Health Ministry on Tuesday said that no state has reported any death due to the oxygen crisis during the second wave of COVID-19.
- In a press conference, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, Lav Agarwal said, "Only one state has reported one suspected death due to oxygen crisis."
- Lav Aggarwal said, "States were asked whether there have been oxygen related deaths? No one has said except one that they have had oxygen-related deaths."
- On the other hand, questions are being raised on the claims of the govt. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that the Center has not sought any information from the Delhi govt in this regard.
- He said that there was a crisis of oxygen in Delhi during the second wave of corona but without investigation, it is not possible to ascertain whether any death occurred due to its deficiency.
