
Railway Ministry hands over 49 railway stations to RLDA, redevelopment to be done under PPP model
- Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has been assigned an additional 49 railway stations for redevelopment.
- Some of these stations are Amravati, Rajkot, Mathura, Agra Fort, Bikaner, Kurukshetra and Bhopal among others.
- RLDA is already working on the development of 60 railway stations under the Smart City Project of the Government of India.
- RLDA Vice-Chairman Shri Ved Prakash Dudeja said, "We are looking at the mandate. Station redevelopment is virtually intrinsically linked to urban development."
- The redevelopment of these stations will provide world-class facilities to the passengers and enhance their travel experience.
