- This statement of the BSP chief has come amid Bihar CM Nitish Kumar seeking time to meet the PM on the issue of census based on caste.
- The central government has proposed a separate census only for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
- Mayawati wrote in a tweet, "BSP has been demanding a separate census of OBC society in the country since the beginning. This is still the demand of BSP."
