
Goa's famous leader Mahadev Naik joins AAP, was a minister in Manohar Parrikar's govt
- Former Goa minister Mahadev Naik has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
- Naik has been a two-time MLA from Shiroda in Goa between 2007 and 2017.
- He was also the Social Welfare Minister in the Manohar Parrikar-led Goa government from 2012 to 2017.
- Apart from being a well-known leader of Goa, Mahadev Naik is a prominent representative of Bhandari society.
- OBC reservation was increased during his tenure. After joining the AAP, Naik targeted the BJP govt in Goa.
