The PM has announced the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award to be known as Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.

He said, "There is no player in the whole history bigger than Major Dhyan Chand. The Modi govt took this decision, the whole country would be happy and would support it."
