
Sachin Waje's bail plea rejected, NIA gets 30 days to file charge sheet
- A special NIA court today dealt a blow to Sachin Waje, a former Mumbai Police officer, in connection with the finding of a car full of explosives near Antilia.
- Actually, the NIA court rejected the bail plea of Sachin Waje. Also, the NIA has been given an additional 30 days to file the charge sheet.
- Significantly, sacked policeman Sachin Waje had filed a bail plea in the special court.
- Waje is currently lodged in jail and had sought his release from the court as the NIA had failed to file the charge sheet within 90 days of Sachin Waje's arrest.
- In the petition, Sachin Waje had argued that the NIA had failed to file the charge sheet within the stipulated time. As such, he is entitled to bail.
