Pegasus case: 'If media reports are true then allegations are very serious', Supreme Court said in the first hearing
- The petitions seeking an independent probe into the Pegasus alleged espionage case were heard together in the Supreme Court today.
- These petitions also include applications by the Editors Guild of India and senior journalists N Ram and Shashi Kumar.
- The court said that if the media reports are true then these allegations are very serious.
- Advocate ML Sharma, who filed the PIL in the matter, stopped Kapil Sibal during the hearing, then the CJI objected to it.
- CJI Ramana told Sharma, "What are the details in your petition apart from the newspaper cuttings? This is not a way to file a PIL."
