
Bhima Koregaon case: HC reserves verdict on activist Sudha Bhardwaj's bail plea
- The Bombay High Court has reserved its decision on the bail plea of social activist Sudha Bharadwaj in the Bhima Koregaon case.
- The hearing on the matter was completed in the High Court on Wednesday. During this, Sudha's lawyer and Additional Solicitor General presented their side.
- Sudha's lawyer Yug Choudhary argued that law and order is a fully state subject and it was a matter of law and order.
- Letting you know, Maharashtra Police was investigating for 2 years but the NIA registered the matter under Section 6 of the NIA Act.
- The cases are fast-tracked under Section 19 of the NIA Act. Offences under 13 of UAPA can go to a magistrate's court but UAPA section 29 deliberates about the power of a magistrate.
