
'Those whose houses were demolished, take immediate steps to rehabilitate them': SC on Khori village case
- In the Khori Gaon case, the Supreme Court said on Tuesday that those whose houses have been demolished should take immediate steps for their rehabilitation.
- The top court has said that the grievances of the affected people should be resolved.
- Orders have been given to deploy nodal officers in temporary shelters and have sought a status report on rehabilitation from Faridabad Corporation Commissioner.
- The next hearing on this matter will be on August 25. Justice AM Khanwilkar bench said that those who are to be rehabilitated, those people will get new accommodation.
- He added, "Those who are not eligible, why should they get rehabilitation facilities, because they are land grabbers. First of all, there is a need to provide immediate relief to the people here."
