
MP govt in action against poisonous liquor, now the culprits will get death sentence
- Amidst the deaths due to spurious liquor in Madhya Pradesh, the Shivraj govt has taken a tough decision against those selling spurious liquor.
- On Tuesday, a cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of CM Shivraj, in which the draft of the amended bill was approved.
- According to this bill, in case of death caused by intoxicating liquor, the accused can be punished from life imprisonment to death.
- The amount of fine has now been increased to Rs 25 lakh. If the police team is attacked then there is a provision of 3 years imprisonment.
- It is worth noting that in the last few months, at least two hundred people have died due to drinking spurious liquor in MP and UP.
