Supporting farmers' protest, farmers of Assam, Odisha join the 'Farmers' Parliament' in Delhi
- The United Kisan Morcha said that a delegation of farmers from Assam and Odisha had attended the 'Kisan Sansad' at Jantar Mantar on Monday.
- The SKM, which is spearheading the agitation, said that members of the Andhra Pradesh Kisan Sangh and the All India Kisan Sabha from Tamil Nadu would also join soon.
- The United Kisan Morcha said that the Kisan Sansad expressed its disappointment over the Central Government reneging on its categorical promise of not introducing the Electricity Amendment Bill to the farmers.
- At the time when the monsoon session of the Parliament of the country is going on, 'Kisan Sansad' is being organized by the agitating organizations.
- As part of the Kisan Sansad, 200 farmers gather here every day at Jantar Mantar to deliberate on issues related to the farming community.
