
Shooter Naresh Kumar reaches SC over not being selected for Tokyo Paralympics, said- 'hearing should be held today'
- Arjuna Award winner and five-time Paralympian shooter Naresh Kumar Sharma has taken refuge in the Supreme Court.
- The petition challenging the decision of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) not to include him in the Tokyo Paralympic has been sought for hearing today itself.
- Naresh's lawyer Vikas Singh said that the last date for selection is August 2, so what will be the use of the High Court hearing on August 6. Therefore, the Supreme Court should hear the matter today.
- Chief Justice (CJI) NV Ramana said that he will look into the papers and decide if it is really necessary.
- Earlier, on July 30, the Division Bench of the Delhi High Court, while hearing the matter, has issued a notice to the PCI, which is to be heard on August 6.
