'Opposition will speak and govt will have to listen, govt responsible for uproar in Parliament: Owaisi

  • AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi blamed the Narendra Modi-led government for the repeated adjournment of the monsoon session of Parliament.
  • He said, "Opposition parties want to raise many issues including Pegasus, death of people during the second wave of Covid, but the government is not ready to listen and answer."
  • Talking to reporters, Owaisi asked, "It is the responsibility of the government to run the Parliament, let there be a debate on Pegasus, why is the government scared?"
  • He said, "The opposition wants that the Parliament should run, but the government does not want it to run, you want to pass the bills amid the uproar, is this democracy?"
  • He said that the opposition will speak in Parliament, and the govt will have to listen... whether the govt believes it or not, the opposition is not being given a chance to speak.
