Pegasus scandal: Congress was 'Spy's James Bond', says Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

  • Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has attacked the Congress amid the deadlock in Parliament over the Pegasus espionage case.
  • Taking a jibe at the Congress on Sunday, he said that the party, which was a "spy James Bond" when it was in power, now wants to waste Parliament's time on "fake and fabricated issues".
  • The Minority Affairs Minister said that the govt is ready to discuss all those issues which are related to the people.
  • He hoped that the deadlock between the govt and the opposition will end, which will enable the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to function smoothly.
  • Since the monsoon session, both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have failed to do much except passing a few bills amid constant protests by opposition parties over Pegasus and farmers' issues.
