HM Amit Shah should reply on Pegasus issue, PM should also be present: Mallikarjun Kharge on uproar in Parliament
- In the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the uproar over the Pegasus espionage scandal continues. The proceedings of the House are also not going smoothly.
- On this whole matter, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said that the government should come forward to break the deadlock in Parliament, but the government is not ready for it.
- Kharge said, "We demand that first the Pegasus spyware phone hack case should be discussed in the Parliament and the Home Minister should answer and the Prime Minister should also be present."
- He further added, "Inflation and other issues were discussed under Rule 267 thrice during the tenure of UPA. Inflation was discussed on 4.8.2010. FDI in Retail was discussed on 07.12.2012."
- "The issue of farmer suicides was discussed on 22.04.2013. The issue of Kashmir was discussed on 10.8.2016. The government should have a discussion", he said.
