'Why were the minors on the beach all night?', Ruckus over Goa CM's remarks on gangrape case
- Goa CM Pramod Sawant is under pressure after the alleged gang rape of two minor girls and assault of two minor boys at Goa's Benaulim beach on Sunday last week.
- He has now blamed the survivors and their parents and has absolved his government and police of any responsibility.
- In a shocking remark made in the Goa Legislative Assembly yesterday, CM Sawant blamed the aggrieved parents for allowing their children to step out till late at night.
- The CM, who also holds the Home Ministry, said, "When 14-year-olds stay on the beach all night, parents need to look inside themselves."
- "Just because kids don't listen, we don't blame the government and the police", he further added.
