- US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is arriving in India today on a two-day visit to discuss a wide range of issues.
- This will include the rapidly changing security situation in Afghanistan, ways to enhance cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and strengthen the COVID-19 response effort.
- This will be Blinken's first visit to India after taking over as US Secretary of State and the third visit by a high-ranking Biden administration official to India since coming to power in January.
- US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin visited India in March, while US Special Envoy on Climate Change John Kerry visited New Delhi in April.
