
Revealed: Loan fraud in CPI(M) controlled cooperative bank, scam of 100 crores surfaced
- Major irregularities, including loan fraud, have come to light at a cooperative bank in Thrissur, Kerala.
- This came to the fore after a departmental inquiry conducted by the Cooperation Department, after which the problems of CPI(M) have increased.
- Actually, this bank is run by the elected members of the ruling LDF. The incident came to light when a complaint was filed with the police on July 14.
- The police suspect a loan scam of about Rs 100 crore in Karuvannoor Seva Sahakari Bank.
- According to a report, Karuvannur Sewa Sahakari Bank has had financial disturbances between 2014-2020.
