- Amidst protests by farmers, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has again emphasized finding a solution through dialogue.
- On the other hand, Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi, while calling the farmers mawali and goons, said that the farmers are only helping the middlemen.

- On this statement of Lekhi, BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said that it is wrong for the farmers to make such remarks. Tikait said, "Goons are those who have nothing."
