The Monsoon Session of Parliament has started on Thursday. Due to continuous uproar by the members, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha had to be adjourned till 2 pm.
Terming the opposition's uproar as unfair, Speaker Om Birla said that maintaining the decorum of the house is also the responsibility of the opposition.
He said, "It is the collective responsibility of all of us to strengthen democracy. People have not sent us to create ruckus and show placards."
He appealed to the MPs, "You should convey the problems of the people to the government through the House."
First Om Birla adjourned the proceedings till noon. Later, the uproar of the opposition started and the proceedings were adjourned till 2 o'clock.
