New Covid Vaccination Policy: Instead of promised 1 Crore dose per day, only 12-13 lakh doses are given on weekends

  • It has been almost a month since the New Covid Vaccination Policy came completely into the hands of the Centre.
  • But, the target of the policy of giving vaccines to all for free to 1 crore people daily has not been achieved.
  • On the first day of the launch of the new policy on June 21, excluding the record corona vaccination of 86 lakhs, this average seems to be decreasing more or less every week.
  • The govt has set a target of giving 10 million vaccine doses daily. Only 40 to 50 percent of its target is being achieved daily.
  • Whereas on weekends it falls to 12-13 lakh doses. Long lines can be seen at vaccination centres in rural areas of MP, UP and many other states.
