- Akhilesh tweeted, "Listening to the personal talk of people by spying on the phone is a gross violation of the 'right to privacy'."
- He added, "If BJP is getting this work done then it is punishable and if the BJP says that it is not aware of it, then it is its failure on national security."
- Akhilesh wrote, "Phone-spying is a democratic crime." Apart from SP, Congress, TMC, Left parties and other opposition parties are also targeting the govt on this issue.
