Mumbai heavy rain accident: CM announces Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of the deceased
- Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray today condoled the incidents of house collapses and deaths due to heavy rains and landslides in Mumbai.
- Along with this, he has announced an ex-gratia amount of five lakh rupees each to the next of kin of the deceased.
- Officials said that 25 people have died in incidents of house collapse in Mayanagari after heavy rains that lashed the whole night.
- At the same time, suburban train services and road traffic were affected due to severe water-logging in the metropolis on Sunday.
- Thackeray spoke to Mumbai Municipal Commissioner IS Chahal and took stock of the rescue and relief operations.
