- Congress is attacking IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who was removed from the cabinet of the Modi government, citing a CAG report alleging a scam.
- Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the CAG report on the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology reveals huge irregularities.
- He asked whether the Department of Telecommunications and the govt gave contracts without tender, whether crores of rupees were paid without any agreement, who is responsible for this.
- According to the CAG report, the work was handed over to the private company of Bihar without official agreement and without issuing a tender.
