- Criminal incidents have started increasing in Uttar Pradesh once again. There have been two high profile kidnappings within a week.
- On Thursday night, criminals kidnapped a fertilizer trader from Kannauj. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh.
- The police have started searching the criminals based on mobile location. The police have activated its team for the recovery of the trader.
- The second incident took place in Agra where senior doctor Umakant Gupta was kidnapped on Tuesday.
- However, the police saved him. On this, former IAS Surya Pratap Singh said, "Yesterday only in Kashi, the PM had praised the law and order situation of UP. Now Modi ji may have to take back his words."
