- Taking action against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, the ED has attached assets worth Rs 4.20 crore in the 100 crore recovery case.
- On the matter, officials said that a provisional attachment order has been issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
- Deshmukh, 72, has not appeared for at least three Enforcement Directorate summons for questioning.
- Earlier, his son Hrishikesh and wife were also summoned by the Federal Investigation Agency but they too refused to testify.
- Deshmukh's counsel had said that his client felt that the ED probe against him in the alleged money laundering case was not proper.
