
Supreme Court asks Yogi govt to reconsider the decision of granting permission to the Kanwar Yatra
- Amid the Corona crisis, the ruckus about the Kanwar Yatra continues. The Yogi govt of UP filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court regarding this.
- Yogi govt said, "There is no complete ban on Kanwar Yatra, Kanwar Yatra will be run symbolically."
- The central government said in the Supreme Court, "Kanwariyas should not be allowed to go to Uttarakhand, so Ganga water should be made available near Shiva temples."
- The Uttarakhand govt did not want to take the risk regarding the Kanwar Yatra after the grit over the Haridwar Kumbh, so it has decided to cancel it.
