NHRC recommends CBI probe into Bengal violence, said- 'police would be involved'
- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has accused the West Bengal govt of 'apathy' in the case of violence after the assembly elections held in March-April.
- Not only this, the commission has also recommended a CBI inquiry into serious cases like murder and rape.
- NHRC has also said that these cases should be heard outside the state.
- The NHRC committee has said that the situation in West Bengal was more like a ruler's law than a 'rule of law'.
- It further added that the local police would not be involved in the violence. So she was deliberately ignoring it.
