Is Madhya Pradesh lagging behind in the treatment with Ayushman Bharat scheme?
- Sunder Alawa of Palwat village of Barwani district in Madhya Pradesh fell seriously ill during the preparation of NEET.
- He had the Ayushman card but didn't receive any benefits. He complained to the Cabinet minister Prem Singh Patel.
- Patel answered, "Take as much money as you want, the paper is wrong, your estimate is what you have.. don't be smart.. otherwise I will give you..."
- This statement of the minister may be an exception, but the central govt claims that Ayushman Bharat is the world's largest health insurance scheme.
- Sundar said, 'My Ayushman card has been made, the expenditure of Rs 1-1.50 lakh was borrowed from the people involved in the treatment, all the bills were paid but still the approval was not received."
