'If women are educated, the population will decrease', Deputy CM responds- 'men should be aware too'
- The discussion has started all over the country regarding the population policy introduced by the Yogi govt in UP. There is a contradiction in the statements of CM and Deputy CM in Bihar.
- Nitish Kumar said that by enacting a population control law, the population will not be controlled, for this women must be educated.
- He said, "If women are educated then they will be awakened and the fertility rate will automatically decrease." But, Renu Devi disagreed with her statement.
- Deputy CM said that population control is not possible only because women are educated. For this, men should also be aware.
- He said, "Men are still afraid of sterilization. In many districts of Bihar, the rate of vasectomy is one per cent, which is a matter of concern."
