
Vishwa Hindu Parishad expresses displeasure over population policy, said - 'remove the rule of one child'
- Vishwa Hindu Parishad has objected to the population policy introduced by the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh.
- VHP working president Alok Kumar has written a letter to the UP Law Commission regarding this matter and has demanded the removal of the one-child rule.
- The Hindu Parishad's letter states that the two-child policy leads to population control, but having less than two children can have a negative impact in the times to come.
- It was further said in the letter that due to the one-child policy, there will be an imbalance of population in the society, Yogi govt should consider otherwise its effect will be negative.
- It said that the imbalance in population growth has been observed in Assam and Kerala. In one-child policy, people give priority to sons, daughters start decreasing.
