CM Yogi to release new population policy in UP, facilities for those with more than two children will be cut
- CM Yogi Adityanath will launch the UP Population Policy 2020-21 today. The activities of Population Stability Fortnight will also start.
- According to the draft Population Bill, now having more than two children can be deprived of govt benefits like he will not be able to join govt jobs.
- According to the bill, the benefits of 77 govt schemes and grants can be denied. There will also be a ban on contesting local body elections.
- All govt officers and employees will have to give an affidavit within one year from the day this law comes into force.
- In this affidavit, they will have to tell that they had only two children when the law came into force, if he now produces a third child, then he should be sacked.
