BJP leader Suvendu's troubles increased, case registered after 3 years of policeman's death
- An FIR has been lodged against Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shubhendu Adhikari in West Bengal in an old case on Friday.
- Shubhendu's troubles may increase after the FIR. The wife of his former security guard has filed a case against him at the Contai police station.
- Suvendu is accused of abetting his security guard Subrata Chakraborty to commit suicide. Subrata shot himself on 13 October 2018.
- He died in a private hospital two days later after being shot. Suvendu Adhikari was then in the TMC and was the state's transport minister.
- The West Bengal Police has started a fresh investigation by registering a case against unknown people under sections 302 and 120B of the IPC.
