Twitter confesses to non-compliance with the new rules, HC said – 'the GoI is free to act
- Twitter has today admitted in the Delhi HC that the company has not followed the new IT rules framed by the GoI.
- On this, the High Court made it clear that now the central govt is free to act on Twitter and now the company cannot be given protection.
- Apart from this, the Delhi High Court has expressed displeasure over the delay being done by Twitter.
- There is a delay on behalf of Twitter regarding the appointment of the Grievance Redressal Officer, on which the HC has expressed displeasure.
- Justice Rekha Pali asked the representatives of Twitter, "how much more time will you take in this process?"
