'Serious problem...' -SC on the petition of dead bodies floating in the Ganges and death due to Covid
- Supreme Court today heard a petition on the floating bodies in the Ganges and proper cremation of dead bodies in case of death due to Covid.
- The top court said that it believes that this is a serious problem. The court has asked the petitioner to approach the National Human Rights Commission.
- It said that the NHRC has issued some instructions regarding this. In this case, NHRC had also presented its side in the High Court.
- Letting you know, NHRC recently also issued an advisory to protect the honor and rights of the dead.
- In view of this, the petitioner has been asked to approach the NHRC regarding this matter.
